These lists are always kinda silly - though I was personally pleased to see Tool squeak in at #100.
Dark Star from Live Dead - Okay, that's nice, but I would have gone for one of Jerry's big "joyous" guitar songs - Not Fadeaway>Going Down The Road from Skull & Roses, The Wheel from So Many Roads, Eyes of the World from One From The Vault, or the Uncle John's Band from the 12-26-79 Dick's Picks. But that's just me.

to follow up on SDH's thoughts on how these lists are slapped together, take a look at the Rock and roll Hall of fame voting process in this link. It's described under the "criticism" section. You'll see that Jann Wenner of Rolling Stone is one the board members for voting. In addition to giving his pals in the industry favorable reviews in his mag, he and his cronies have an odd way of selecting who deserves to be in the hall.

Where does this list rank in the list of best, best of lists that list the best lists of best of lists that specifically list which list of best of is best?
